Acceptance of terms

By using the Skayle Academy website (skayleacademy.ca) or enrolling in any course or coaching program, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or enrol in our programs.

Skayle Academy is operated in Ontario, Canada. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

Our programs

Skayle Academy offers in-person professional development courses and coaching programs for mortgage professionals in Canada. Our courses are not a substitute for provincial mortgage licensing (such as FSRA licensing in Ontario). Participants are responsible for maintaining their own licensing and regulatory compliance.

Course content, schedules, instructors and pricing are subject to change. We will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled students of material changes.

Enrolment and payment

Enrolment is confirmed only after full payment has been received and a confirmation has been issued by Skayle Academy. Submitting an enquiry form does not constitute enrolment.

Payment details will be provided upon confirmation of your application. We accept payment by electronic funds transfer, credit card or such other methods as we may specify.

Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.

Refund and cancellation policy

Courses: Cancellations made more than 14 days before the course start date are eligible for a full refund or a transfer to a future intake. Cancellations within 14 days of the course start date are not eligible for a refund but may be transferred to a future intake at our discretion, subject to availability.

Coaching programs: Monthly coaching subscriptions may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the first 30 days.

Skayle Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course or cohort. In such cases, enrolled participants will receive a full refund or transfer to a rescheduled date.

Participant conduct

Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully toward instructors, guest speakers and fellow participants. Skayle Academy reserves the right to remove any participant from a program without refund for conduct that is disruptive, abusive, harassing or otherwise inappropriate.

Intellectual property

All course materials, content, slides, handouts and resources provided by Skayle Academy are the intellectual property of Skayle Academy or its licensed instructors. You may use materials for your own professional development but may not reproduce, distribute, sell or share them without written permission.

Recording of course sessions (audio, video or screen capture) is not permitted without prior written consent from Skayle Academy.

Website use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You may not attempt to access restricted areas, interfere with the operation of the website, submit false or misleading information, or use the website for any fraudulent purpose.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only. Skayle Academy is not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.

Disclaimer of warranties

This website and our programs are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Skayle Academy does not guarantee any specific outcome, income level or career result from participating in our programs. Individual results vary based on experience, effort and market conditions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Skayle Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or participation in our programs. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant program.

Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of this website or enrolment in a program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
